Soliloquy by Koigu
These shades are dyed in Canada, by Koigu, which explains the gorgeous, saturated colours. I will have lots of (new) shades back in stock towards the end of February. For now, I only have a couple of hanks of Montegue left (colour no. 1 in the picture). Because of shipping costs involved, this is an introductory price, I may have to revise (up) as time goes on.
Especially since these are highly complex, multi-coloured hanks, please let me know if you are ordering more than 1 hank for a project, as I will colour-match them if that is important.

The story behind Soliloquy:
There are a couple of things that bug me about sock yarns:
1. I love knitting with them, but not wearing them; to me, they're too bulky.
2. I hate spending £15 – £20 on a hank of STUNNING sock yarn, only to finish knitting them within a week.
3. I love knitting lace but don't like the extra bulk that lace stitches produce as a result of knitting stitches together (especially when knitting lace socks!).
When looking for thinner yarns, lace weights are the obvious ones to consider. But at 800 metres per 100 grams, I'd have to knit on 1.2 – 1.5 mm needles to produce a "sock-able" stocking stitch. It's an option, but I'd prefer to keep my knitting easy on the eye.
So the idea of a Sock Lace was born. Finer than Sock yarn, more substantial than a Lace yarn.
