I don't know why it's taken me so long to wake up to the beauty of Faery Wings.
This gorgeous, wavy yarn contains no less that 67% Silk, which of course accounts for its unbelievable lustre and depth of colour.
But what makes this yarn so spectacular is its 23% content of Kid Mohair, giving it a subtle, soft halo and making it beautifully warm.
10% Nylon gives it a bit of extra strength. There are 350 metres in a 100 gr hank.
I am thrilled to offer some Faery Wings for sale.
I apologise for the absence of stock (only 1 hank left!), due to Unravel in Farnham. It literally all flew (sorry, couldn't resist)!
More stock coming very soon, I promise.
The colours shown are all pretty much one-offs, although I have 2 hanks each of the second little group (the right 3 in the large group shot) for bigger projects.
If you wonder what you could make with 1 hank of Faery Wings, check out this new Shawl design HERE
